"My parents used to toss me up in the air and catch me," Silverwing says, grinning. "I still remember the first time I used my wings--I felt the air under them and moved them and I almost didn't fall at all. It was so exciting! After that I had to practise all the time so I could stay up for longer and longer."
She giggles a little. "And then they put a harness on me, so they could hold onto me if I started to fall, and started taking me with them when they flew. It's really the best thing. The air on your face and under your wings, and you can see so many cool things from up there! It's a lot like being a bird, although Seekers aren't beastformers."
She flushes, a little bit pink. "I'm Silverwing," she repeats. "What are you called?"
