Time is the trickiest thing for people coming and going from the Nexus. Katsuya is quite used to being just a might bit dated compared to most considering it's barely past the turn of the century back in his world but he's still modern enough to get by without attracting too much attention. Himura-san seems to be a modern sort of woman and that is also less awkward because the officer feels as though he can relate.
"It's not an inaccurate assessment of the situation, though there are remarkably fewer drugs unless one is looking for them."
He chuckles a bit humorlessly at his own joke. It's difficult for him to relax around others but he's making an effort to quash his own awkwardness as best as he can.
"I still feel that way sometimes here and I've been visiting this place off and on for years."
