There's definitely people stopping to stare. More than a couple are tripping over themselves to back away. Anyone with a functional fight or flight response is wetting their pants and getting the fuck out of Dodge.

No one reacts to the shriek save for Alastor himself but that wasn't a noise meant for mortal ears. Nor was the attempt to scare him away from the wendigo's claim for territory. That was all for the deerish demon and no one else. Which, might be why Joshua's eyes are only now widening with clear revulsion over the hands closing on his shoulders.

I've got a question for you, kiddo. It's a knife pressed against his throat. The barrel of a gun resting against his temple. Or worse.
