They've addressed the problem and Jim's doing his damndest to keep Alex good and distracted form his pains and discomfort in the meantime. There's an awful lot about Jim he's better at than he gives himself credit for. If the idea of children didn't scare him witless he might be more willing to admit he really does like them. Has a way with them.

"Now that's got to be one pretty place. What do your Uncles' family do up there? Are they just that fond of the outdoors or are they geologists maybe?"
