"I suppose I ought to be more comfortable with that," he says. "It's galls me because of my history, perhaps. I had a nasty surprise about my true heritage not long ago in the grand scheme of things. Some certainty would be nice."

"I'm over a thousand years old," he adds. "I'm used to change, but it's somewhat disruptive when it happens so quickly."
