It's a very big universe for one small, slightly nervous cook. But Kinner's adaptable, he thinks. He's thrived in this bizarre multidimensional hub, and that's the best he can do.

"It's a shapeshifter. That's the most important thing about it." The next logical step is to kill his fear by, in turn, killing the Thing. If he can do that, even indirectly, Kinner won't be the same man who entered the Nexus. "Aglaophotis? What's that, if you don't mind me askin'? Is it some kinda magical thing from your world?" He's curious if it's a weapon that can injure the Thing.
