Steve's current impairment is not something Horvath is going to tell anyone about first, and he actually stands by looking slightly guilty as Steve explains it. This feels like something he should be able to fix. Curses are a form of magic, and he seems to be one of only a handful of magic users around right now. But the fact is that curses are very tricky things; no two are ever the same, and his resources are severely limited right now. Teleporting and healing people all day is sapping his strength, even if he is enduring the harsh conditions far better than most. He should be able to fix this, and he can't.
"We need to know if they reached here, first. If they never even got here, then the path between this and the safehouse seems an obvious place to start. But... if they did get here, first..." Horvath runs a hand down his face. "It would help to see if they were asking questions, I suppose. I'm not sure where they would have gone, from here."
