"Yes. They'll be safe in the Pokeball. If shit gets really serious, I want you all to agree that you'll take my Pokemon to safety as needed." She doesn't think it'll get that far, but it's best to establish the rules before any worst case scenarios arise. The radio isn't a foreign object to Natalie, as she tucks it inside on coat pocket carefully, but the shield is a mystery on its own. She's never wielded a defensive weapon before, however the threats awaiting them might easily figure out that she's commanding Pokemon, making her a prime target.

Taking the shield in her less dominant hand, Natalie is immediately taken back by the weight of the object. It's lighter than she expected. There's no additional time to think about it, as the team is already embarking into the frozen wastes.

She's normally one to give verbal commands, butraising on arm to her left causes Carbink to fly ahead, keeping attune to the buildings and peaks. Natalie figures the rock Pokemon will blend in easier with the snow, as should take to the crowded areas, unlike Volcarona who hovers closer, still watching the skies carefully. It's harder to conceal a giant fire moth, after all.

If they see or sense anything, Natalie is bound to know sooner than later.
