She taps her thumb on the button on the side, it beeps rapidly three times, and then she pulls the trigger. The sound that occurs is difficult to describe, as it makes a sort a 'ftyoom!' noise, launching a grenade out of the end of the weapon.
With their speed, and Delia accounting a little for timing, it piffs down in the snow right in front of their pursuers. And then detonates.
This isn't some 20th century Earth grenade, either. It's a 25th century, Klingon Photon grenade. It explodes with a loud set of booms, sending snow and ice flying in Josh and Delia's wake, helping to cover their escape.
