To Jim's untrained eye the magic is just fine even with him reaching into the circle. He damn well would have stepped inside if Felix hadn't slurred at him not to just to get an arm around the mage to pull him out of the circle. But Felix has and Jim knows enough to listen, at least mostly.

"I can see that much." There's no hiding the frustration in Jim's voice but it is muted. Overshadowed by his relief that Felix seems to be alright and in one piece. "Are you seriously asking me that right now?" Felix is here. What other reason does he need?
