Jim can't help the sigh of exasperation that slips out through his nose while he makes himself listen. There's something here that isn't adding up. Why would Felix need to hide something like this if it's a ritual to try and help them all survive this? Why has he waited so carefully for Jim to be gone to attempt this?

What dangers lie in this innocuous space that he stepped into unthinkingly? That would be a reason to hide it. If it were dangerous Jim damn well would want to know about it. His fingers grip Felix slightly tighter.

"Okay. Intel is something we do very sorely need." Why won't Felix just tell him what's going on? "But...?"
