Kinner takes charge, carefully tying both Peter and Miles to Harrow's back. He's fairly experienced at tying knots, so sets to work right away. They're both out cold, but if they make it back to the shelter they should be all right. It could've been a lot worse, Kinner thinks, images of headless and mangled corpses in his head. He'd been bracing himself for unwanted company, but it looks like they got lucky this time.
"We got lucky," Kinner says once he's secured Miles. "I was worried those critters Palmer got attacked by would come after us. I'm surprised they didn't. Not that I'm gonna complain."
