I imagine a lot of conflicts come from different sides having alien worldviews. I imagine that happened with us and the Fallen, too. The way they see the world and the way we do is hard to reconcile."
Palmer wonders if the Thing knew it was killing people. It certainly wan't willing to stop, and it could learn human language as soon as it assimilated one.
"I'm pretty sure whatever's going on here is the Nexus being the Nexus. To be honest, this is actually kind of fun, as long as it doesn't last. I still think it's likely that the explosion had something to do with it. Tina and Rocket are probably the most explosion-happy people here, so it's gotta be one of them. It's better something harmless than the Anti-Violence Field going down again."
