And they weren't about to look a gift-horse (gift-lion?) in the mouth- the offer of a lift up had them nodding their agreement, creeping closer to climb up, the fur offering plenty of hand-holds for the enterprising climber. And if they stopped a couple times to watch the way light washed over fur, or the way the fur fluffed under metal fingers, well this was all very new to them.
