It's nice that she doesn't ask. He wouldn't want to fess up to having been discharged so quickly, even if the reason was relatively admirable. It would involve a lot more explaining than he would want to get into right now. Besides, he's just happier around people who don't want to pry into his personal details.

"That's the gist of it. I've flown other vehicles before for people too." He figures that since Bryn got to ask a question about him, he should be able to do the same about her. "Have you always wanted to be in the military or does it just seem like the best option for you right now?"
