Something about Rocket's fangy grin does not inspire reassurance in Peter at all but the raccoon does in fact have a point. It's better to test out here away from others before he goes and tries using something like this on a mugger with a gun or something. He doesn't want to hurt folks more than he absolutely has to.

There's enough of that out in the world as is.
