Minoru smiled back, humbly replying, “Me? I’m just an orderly. But while I’m here, I’m studying to be a physical therapy assistant.”

Maybe not a healer in the traditional sense, but it was still along the same lines. Minoru did the dirty work and he was downright happy to be doing it.

“I like it. I like helping people. Especially helping them move. What about you? Is baking a business or a hobby?”

He watched her pull out a basket and grinned from ear to ear. She could have asked for three times as much money and he would have happily paid.

“Oh, that’s perfect!“ he pulled out two dollars. “Keep the change.”
