A tournament is probably not the best of ideas for his own situation, but Mordred can appreciate where Worf is coming from. Given both grooms' heritage, it would've made a lot of sense to hold some sort of Medieval style tourney a few centuries ago. Or even now, if either of them were into that or there wasn't the concern that their coworkers would use it as an excuse to kill each other. Best not to cause some sort of scene in the office by allowing that to happen.
