The oldest boy, Agnarr, is the first to notice the dog, and he beams, delighted. He doesn't have quite Loki's senses yet and is not aware he's looking at a shapeshifter. In fairness, though, he'd be just as happy to run into a random wolf as long as it wasn't snarling at him. The boy doesn't speak, but he crouches a little in the closest approximation of a play-bow a two-legged person can get, and gives a soft whistle of greeting.
He smiles at Aal, too, silently, and then Loki catches wind of what's going on and wanders over to speak with them. "Hello to you both! It's been a while; but then it's been a while since I was out and about, myself. Have you met my children? I can't recall."
