"I can imagine!" Shelby says with a soft laugh. While she firmly believes the hardships she went through years ago made her a better person and a better driver, she also would never want to repeat them. She's glad for the stability she has in her life now. And in a way, she's lucky, because she had friends who welcomed her back when they might not have had a reason to.

"How long were you serving?" she asks. "I started my career when I was ten, but my line of work is definitely not typical!"
