A flicker of light at her shoulder revealed her Ghost, and the little sapient machine floated over to the changed knife. Light shone down from the single eye as they scanned it.
"Fascinating....so it retains its chemical composition and merely changes shape?" The Ghost uttered, clearly flummoxed and impressed.
Widget snickered. "Al, this is Hax, my Ghost." She eyed her partner. "Wow, nice shell. You have chains and everything."
