+1 Time Travelling tea lover
"Well now, this is different, isn't it? Nice place."
The Doctor now walking through the Plaza, hands jammed inside the pockets of his pinstriped brown trousers with matching suit. He just wanted to get a feel of the new world he'd stepped into---or another dimension, since he'd been wanting to meet up with Rose and Mickey back at their flat. But, he'd ran into some trouble with the dimensional stabiliser and--BAM! He'd ended up here inside the Nexus. Was there a reason for this? Perhaps.
He sat at one of the benches and looked up at the sky, noticing a few cloud formations. At least he hadn't ended up on a barren, desolate planet or inside a black hole. That could have been bad. Very bad. This Nexus seemed like a nice place---almost like Earth in a way. Now, to meet the inhabitants. That was the big thing for the Doctor, who was a social butterfly when the need took him. The temptation to visit the many shops, taverns and other such places were tugging at the Doctor, as he directed his question to one and all.
"What's a Timelord to do in a place like this?"

"What's a Timelord to do in a place like this?"
Jack!
"But---how? I mean, you--"
This was impossible. Wasn't it?
"Captain Jack Harkness?"
This Nexus also brought people back?

Fortunately, they're both old hands at that, despite Jack being a century or so out of practice. Comes with taking the long way.
"It's been a few years since I last ran into you," he says easily, putting his hands in his coat pockets. "What about you? Have we done the Year That Never Was yet?"

The Doctor grinned.
"She snogged me too."
That part would surely please Jack of all people.

So he chuckles, raising his eyebrows at the Doctor. "Time windows, huh? Tricky business. I'd rather travel by vortex manipulator, myself. Or the TARDIS, of course." He glances around casually. "Where is she, anyway?"
no subject
"Time windows. Big things that take massive amounts of energy to run and keep going. Big waste of time if you ask me. Pardon the expression."
The Doctor grinned, facing back around for a few moments looking back to where she was parked.
"Not far. Just past the Plaza and neatly parked behind a load of dustbins. She blends in a bit better that way."

He's tempted to ask to see her. It's been a while since he's said hello to the old girl. But... given how hard she tried to shake him off last time, maybe he'd better not. Especially not if that hasn't happened yet. So instead he laughs it off, casually putting his hands in his coat pockets.
"So, first time, huh?"
