Noting the question as she sips her drink, Tielle thinks back to all she's come to learn about the Nexus, and by extension extraplanar travel, as well as what little tidbits she remembers from her sister's brief obsession with the topic back from her own world. She leans back a bit in her chair, glancing over to where Olivia is sitting.
"Perhaps it's simply a matter of proximity. Travel between worlds and universes, while not necessarily common occurrence for some of us, definitely exists. If it didn't, we wouldn't be here... though I do have a theory..."
She pulls out a small journal and starts making a few sketches, drawing out a series of what appear to be planets, or perhaps worlds.
"I would assume most universes or other planes remain somewhat fixed in place. Reliable travel between them would be impossible otherwise, or at least at a consistency others who seem to have mastered the art seem to be able to traverse them. If one universe were to be able to move freely though... drifting amongst the fixed planes of existence... perhaps as it brushed up against these other fixed planes, there would be a bit of an overlap, however brief it may be, that would allow things to pass between them. It would explain why people seem to end up here at seemingly random, and why it's so damn hard to get here intentionally..."
She shakes her head, chuckling a bit.
"...but this is all just wild speculation. I've got nothing to really go on to prove any of this."
