"How long can you lose touch with someone or something--a friend who moved, a place you were too busy to go--and still be able to pick up anything near where you left off?"
This is clearly not an idle question for Néo and Pippi. The time since they were last in a Nexus has been kind enough to them that their icon still fits, but if you look closely, you can see that they've picked up a few more laugh lines, a little more junk in headlights and trunk. They're dressed, casually, in sweaters and skirts.
With them is someone who looks like a teenage girl, in jeans and a hoodie that announces MY PRONOUNS ARE IM/POSSIBLE, at which this individual is tugging as if they itched something fierce. "Can I take off the mummy-wrappings now?" asked at least as petulantly as you can imagine.
"You can," replies Pippi, "but if you do before your father and I do, there will be consequences, chūsei."
"Mō~!"
[Remember these two and their sprog from previous Nexi? For good or ill, they're back.]
