It hurts, to see Adia sitting so stiffly. So determined to keep control of herself even though there's surely no need. Even when she's curled over her own reopened wounds.

"The Nexus is a different kind of place," she says slowly, turning her gaze toward the fire for a minute. "A strange set of circumstances. It brings out different aspects in people, I think. Maybe unusual ones. I don't think that makes them less real, but- perhaps they're not more true, either."
