It must have spurred on the clean sources of energy that the colonies used, in addition to space flight." But, what really counts as progress? The colonies only lasted two thousand years. In some ways, humans were right back where they started, desperately clinging to survival in the face of extinction. It weighs heavily on her mind while she makes her cup of tea.
