westfallcorndog: (thinkin' hard or hardly thinkin'?)

Harrow blinks hard at the unexpected mention of suicide. She's just going to say that out loud without couching her words and then move on? Onto... downloading consciousness, resurrection, people who aren't quite themselves after death...

"I... W-wow, Adia, that ain't what I expected to hear. But... I think I get it? Yeah, I think this makes sense to me. And I get why you're cryin', but... Shoot, I ain't tryin' to make hope spring eternal or nothin', but maybe you're cryin' for the wrong reason? Listen,"

He shifts position so that one of his arms is around Adia's shoulders. He pulls her in close, but not so close that he can't look her in the face to be sure she's at least partly following what he's about to say.

"I don't know anything about your world and your war, but... After I died, I resurrected too, right? And if anyone who loved me before had seen me then, they would'a thought I hated them too. Of course that was necromancy, and not tech...nology?" He isn't sure he understands, but he's only ever heard the word 'download' in technological terms. "But maybe it's the same deal? Maybe it ain't that he hates you, hun?"

He pats her arm and jostles her to keep her in the conversation. "Maybe he really didn't know it was you? Maybe he just ain't got his memories right now? ... Is that better or worse?"
