The retort is on the tip of his tongue, but he has things he wants to hear answers for, information to seek out. Whether or not his amusement is genuine, luckily, is forgotten as he presses on. Caspar's apparent regret doesn't faze him in the slightest. It's too easily faked, and too often means too little, something he knows all too well as a man with so many regrets.
