Caspar wraps an arm around his girl while she writes out a reply. He can feel how nervous she is, and the irritation he was expressing earlier melts away. He needs to be calm for her.

Whether or not the problem can be fixed, it's not as terrible as the anti-violence field failing. There's no invasion, no Nightmare. She needs to relax.
