He recognizes the voice (and the scent, so strangely crisp and light, like September sunsets) and he hurries to stand. The cage throws off his center of balance more than it normally would, having to catch himself briefly with one hand on the table next to him before he pulls himself fully upright. Well, mostly. He's somewhat stooped, shoulders slouched and hands wringing together in front of him.
"Lady Kin! Oh, I'm terribly honoured to hear from you once again." His face is pulled into an uncertain but hopeful(?) smile. "Are you certain you want to hear something so silly as human custom, though? I don't care to bore you."
