So... he really was being honest with his 'test' during the Khan invasion. She worries at the hem of her cardigan while he admits his romantic feelings for her, not quite meeting his gaze. He doesn't have to mention Caspar, she knows now that his return threw a wrench into Josh's grand plans of winning her over.
Tentatively, she takes the seat next to him. "What did you decide?" she asks. "Am I different? I'm only human, Josh, but that's what makes it possible for me to understand others." Before he can answer, she adds shakily, "I wish you would take off your mask so I can see you."

It's strange. She should be afraid -- and she is -- but watching Josh slumped in his chair, it's almost as if they're back at the café and she's having a simple, quiet conversation with her former friend.
