"Trapped is a strong word for it," she counters, her smile a little strained. "I may not be able to return, but this is a choice I made. The how and why is important, but only in the sense that I wasn't cut off without warning." It doesn't make it easier to handle some days, but that's not really important. It's a choice she made and she's going to own up to it from now on. No more hiding from the truth. "If the situation were dire and I certain I needed to return, I'm sure I could find a way back and be welcomed when I did."
