+1 Small Detective

Conan was starting to get a headache.

Upon arriving here, he'd immediately watched the PSA and gathered up as many different kinds of brochures he could locate. He'd spent a few minutes in the plaza, spreading them out on the ground as he checked them against each other and scribbled down observations in his notebook. It still wasn't nearly enough information. He wasn't going to believe he had actually stumbled into a multiverse without more evidence than this.

That left one option.  For the rest of the afternoon Conan lingers around the plaza, ambushing anyone in the area with a carefully cheerful interrogation.

" Hello!  Could you help me?"

"Certainly, although it can be rather confusing even when explained. I expect you've already read that the Nexus is a type of crossroads between different planes, or... ah, universes. Because of that, you may find that things here don't work quite the way you'd expect. In your home, no doubt the rules are reliable and places don't move around from day to day. The Nexus has different rules, and sometimes it allows all kinds of strange things to happen." He's trying to keep his explanation simple, remembering what it was like to teach his younger brother at this age.

"For example, streets don't always stay where you left them, and I've seen kinds of magic here that wouldn't work in my own world."

Well! Stratos raises his eyebrows and makes a mental note: this child is not one to just take his elders' word for things. Perhaps not the worst trait to have, but it might make this more difficult.

"I am absolutely serious," he says gravely, looking the boy in the eye. Patient, but firm. They must be clear about this. "What is your name, young man?"
