Time to spruce up the Nexus - with Fashion!
It feels as if a bazaar is going up in the Plaza today, what with the way a sharply dressed man is toting about tables, bins, and bags stuffed with fabrics, trims, buttons, and other necessities for his trade. It's a one-man-bazaar, but the man doesn't seem at all concerned with what any passersby think of him. There's too many fabrics to put on display and barely enough time to think of the trims!
He 'hmm's and 'no no no's often as he arranges all of his things across the tables he's brought, his head tilting to and fro as he debates the best way to show off his supplies. Once he's satisfied with the table situation, he pulls out a few dress forms from a bin and sets them up with a few examples of his work. These properly arranged and his vanity appeased by the general feel of the entire display, Alex smiles proudly at the setup before turning around and gesturing to the Plaza with arms held high and wide.
"Nexus visitors and residents! Winter's been a dreary time for all of us. Too much gray, cold, and hardship. What do you say to a little something to brighten your outlook? Spring is a time of colors and casting out the old for the new." His smile melts seamlessly into a bright, giddy grin. "How about a new look to ease the transition? I promise my best work to help you along."
The Tailor, dear Nexus, is ready and waiting for your patronage.

Now it's loose clothing, meant to flow with her movement. Low slung, loose pants, a light blouse, and a long sleeved shirt with a number of pockets, worn unbuttoned and open. She also wears sandals, with a low, thick heel.
As a tailor, Alex probably notices Delia's clothing is well made. Flattering. There's also filigree style designs embroidered in the edges of her clothing. Her sleeves, the bottom of the blouse and shirt, her pant legs. All light yellow colored to offset the white of the clothing, and deep jade green of her skin.
Of course, she has her bag with her, which is in complete contrary to the almost bohemian style the Orion presents: Heavy, leather, black, with the Klingon Empire symbol embossed in the heavy leather. She's got it slung over one shoulder.
"Mm, always on the lookout for something new, dear," says the Orion with an amused look in her visible, good eye, "Especially now that I can wear more than heavy boots and coats."

"That's why I'm here," Alex jokes, winking in Delia's direction. "Out with the old and heavy, in with the new and fresh, as it were. Though it looks like you're well ahead of the curve on that account." He gestures to her with an excited grin. "I rarely see work that's not mine made so well. I'm going to be hard pressed to top it - if you'll allow me, that is." The tailor has little down he can, but a little flattery and self-deprecation gets him a long way with potential clients.

White clothing, gold lining, green skin. All of it complimenting each other.
While Alex might not know it? Delia's current clothing: Not replicated. Sure, she's got a number of outfits and clothing from the replicator, but this one's definitely not.
The grin is met with one of her own, bright and flirtatious, good eye glittering with amused mischief. "Well ahead? Almost certainly. But I'm one who's always prepared for a great deal of situations, and having more certainly wouldn't go unopposed."
Which is a 'yes', she's open to the idea of having a tailor to bounce ideas off of. He's no humble Cardassian tailor, but from her examinations of his work thus far--he does good work regardless.
"Delia Battista, by the way." She says by way of introduction.

Nothing totally new, he thinks. Delia has a sense of style that works well for her figure and the way she carries herself. No person with as much confidence and self-respect as this woman has would never go for less, though, and that makes Alex all the more eager to see what he can do for this stylish woman. Let it not be said that a tailor can't appreciate someone else's work even when he prides himself on his own!
"If I may be so bold, I'd like to inquire after your current outfit. It's impeccable, and I'm honestly a little jealous that I didn't come up with the idea for such a color combination myself." He laughs at his little joke and steps closer to Delia, already eyeing all of the seams, fabrics, and embroidery. "I'll stay within the lines of what you already have, if that's what you'd like, but I'd love the chance to try something just a little differentwith you."

But then, knowing that and seeing this might explain much to some.
Nevertheless, basking at being the center of attention is something most Orions almost certainly enjoy, Delia being no exception to the rule in this case. In fact, she plays it up, because of that fact. Doing a little twirl to show off and make the loose shirt she's wearing over everything flare up a little with the movement, Delia grins by way of initial response.
"When one's default color is a distinctive green," she gestures to herself with one hand, meaning her skin, which is a distinct, deep jade green, "You have to work with it, compliment it. Or you clash in ways that aren't pleasant, or draw the eye where you don't want it."
"But I won't lie, I'm definitely curious to see what you could possibly come up with if I were to let you cut loose, as they say." Oh, she's definitely curious. Having someone with a flair for fashion eager to dress her? Why ever not? It's fun!

"Why don't we start with the most difficult part, then, and find some new fabrics to decorate you with." He grins as he offers Delia a hand to escort her around all of his tables. They'll walk at a slow, leisurely pace, allowing them both plenty of time to take in all of the colors and types of fabric the tailor brought with him today. They've made it about halfway around everything when Alex spots something that he immediately needs to provide to the woman for a closer look.
"What do you think of this?" he asks, holding out a hand painted yellow and gold toned patterned bolt of fabric. "Are you up for a little flair on your new clothes?"

She's amused, walking with him with a pleased little hum. Occasionally, Delia reaches out to brush her fingers over some of the fabric, as she likes to touch everything, and while she knows there's a time and place for such things, she definitely believes this is one of them.
"Hmmm, yellow does always look good on me," Delia agrees thoughtfully, "Tends to compliment the green quite well, especially without blending, as darker colors tend to do in my experience."

"I thought the pattern would go nicely on a new shirt for you," he informs her as he tucks the bolt under one arm and offers her the other. "A lovely, billowy blouse for spring that flows with all of your natural movements." All of which are very well placed, if Alex were to say so out loud. He'll refrain for now, if only for the chance to make not of it at a better time in a bit.
"Now for your pants, I think we should try something a little different. A complimentary brown that inches toward olive would still play off of your skin tone wonderfully while adding a new element to your wardrobe." He grins as he points to a bolt of linen fabric on a nearby table that fits the bill. "Like this, perhaps?"
I am so sorry for this taking so long, but real life was like, RAPID FIRE PEW PEW PEW
Although there are those who don't always like their space invaded, or things touched initially--but obviously our dear Alex isn't one of those in this situation. "Mmm, yes, flowing with my movements is an absolute necessity," as Alex has a front row seat to bear witness to the fact that Delia's one of those people who talks with her hands, or hand, as the case may be, since he's got her other arm hooked with his elbow.
Lots of emphatic gesturing. Delia may not be a dancer like other Orions, but she's still got a natural grace to her movements. "Now now," Delia adds thoughtfully, "Don't limit yourself to just pants, I'm hardly a stranger to skirts and dresses, after all." Cue a little twirl of the hand and a boop of his nose, but she does regard the fabric thoughtfullym tapping her chin with her finger as her eyebrows furrow, "Mmmmm, that could work, though."
Shhh, you take care of you and I will slow tag into eternity as we're both able <3
As if to prove his point, he picks up a nearby bolt of cotton jersey knit fabric for Delia to touch and ogle. "I realize this is a much lighter color, but it compliments the beautiful gold we've selected, moves and breathes wonderfully, and with your color palette? You will look stunning in it."
And, of course, they can always make more blouses from other fabrics if they're feeling adventurous...
