[[ooc: Saint's Navigation post is here! If there is any Russian speakers playing here, I'm using google translate, so I apologize if anything he says is incorrect! I won't mind at all if anyone corrects me! I love languages and learning about them. As an added note, I'll add what he said in English at the bottom of the post.]]
With a rustle of plate armor, Saint-14 sat up and looked around. He was currently sitting in a snowbank in what appeared to be a wooded area. Bewildered, his helmeted head looked this way and that as he tried to figure out where he was. It definitely wasn't where he was before. Wherever this was, it was heading into evening, and it was cold and snowing. Looking up instantly told him that he wasn't in the Last City, for there was no sign of the looming shape of the Traveler up above him.
Instantly wary, the Titan levered to his feet, straightening to his formidable height. Last he recalled, he had been in the Tower Hanger...how did he get here? He tried opening communications but received no signal. His Ghost apparently was as flummoxed as he was. The most important thing was that there weren't any nearby threats.
Not bothering to unsling the large shotgun on his back, Saint strode off through the snow. There appeared to be some sort of path, so perhaps he was near a settlement.

Saint stood on the edge of the plaza, staring at the large assortment of partially snow covered couches, benches and tables. Large vidscreens were playing videos and playing announcements by the looks of it. There were people walking about of various shapes and sizes...and species that he didn’t recognize.
”Bozhe moi…” He muttered. “Gde ya, chert voz'mi?” It was only the fact that no one was trying to kill him or each other, that he didn’t pull his weapon. In fact, people were just going about their business as if nothing was amiss.
Once again, the Titan found himself far from home. After being in the Infinite Forest for so long, it was nice to find himself in a place that wasn’t a constant fight for survival. Next step would obviously be, ask around and find out where he was and find a place to warm up and regroup. Not paying any mind to the snow covering parts of his armor, Saint strode off through the plaza to do just that.

Later, Saint-14 found himself in a nearby Cafe; sitting at a table in a corner (and almost looking comically too big for it) and looking through multiple pamphlets. After talking to various locals, he had been directed to where he could warm up and find the information he would need. Some info was very interesting - and some shocking. Especially when finding out that this was a different dimension. However the fact he could freely travel between here and his own world via what was called a PINpoint, put him more at ease.
When he came across the info about the Fallen living in the wilds, the Titan surged to his feet, nearly upending the table. He gingerly sat back down after a few moments (and noting the stares) - reading through the pamphlet again while quietly containing his knee jerk fury. Those bastards. After reading about some sort of truce, he crumpled up the paper in his fist before dumping it onto the table in furious disgust.
It took several minutes for him to calm himself, looking down at the other pamphlets on the table. He might as well follow the advice that he had read in one of them. He uttered a deep sigh, speaking up to the groups of people moving through the cafe at large.
“How far are you willing to go, to fight for the places and people that you love?” He spoke up, feeling kind of strange for just randomly speaking up to no one in particular. Despite his intimidating appearance, the deep voice coming out of the crested helmet was warm and kind; very heavily laced with a Russian accent. “Are you willing to stand up and defend your home and protect it?”

She takes his hand without hesitation, giving it a firm shake. "Thanks. Aegis-9. I don't think I've seen you around before?" That doesn't sound like it surprises her though. There are a lot of Guardians she only knows in passing, if at all. That's what happens when you're out and about all the time.
no subject
"Did you arrive by accident like I did?" He wondered, moving to sit back down at the table. There was an empty chair opposite him that he gestured at in invitation, happy to speak to another Guardian in such strange territory.

The Ghost bobs a little in a nod, twisting back and forth to look at his Guardian and the famed Titan before her. "The Nexus really does bring you face to face with legends." Not that he hadn't believed it, exactly, but it's a hell of a thing to see with his own sensors.
Aegis doesn't hesitate to sit, tugging the mark at her hip out of the way in one practiced motion so she doesn't sit on it awkwardly. "Accident? No, I'm here on purpose. Just exploring, really, but I've heard some things about this place. Figured it was time to check it out myself, just in case."
no subject
"Hm really! How did you get here?" Saint asked curiously. "I read about something called a PINpoint that can...transmat people between here and our world." He poked at the various pamphlets, selecting one and waving it in a hand. "Ah, this one. It explains about this place being a hub world of sorts. People here are from all over the multiverse. Strange, no?"
no subject
She’s looked over some of the literature, but not really in any depth. She’s an Exo who prefers to be more hands-on, experiencing new things directly rather than some dry pamphlet that might very well bore her to tears. Her Ghost is a bit more proactive, though, bobbing forward to scan the paper in Saint-14’s hand. “Very strange. We’ve seen species I don’t have in my databanks at all, and almost none that I do.”
“Except humans,” Aegis adds, raising a finger. “There’s a lot of those around.”
no subject
"I should have known after having been in the Infinite Forest for so long, that a place like this could exist." He shook his head, leaning back a little in his seat. "It's a nice break to see other beings that are ah...friendlier than the ones back home." So far, none were interested in shooting at him. "In fact, I shook hands with an alien earlier that looked to be taller than I am." He marveled with a chuckle.
"Your experience here has been also pleasant I take it?" He asked warmly. "It is good to know other Guardians travel here. Especially with House Winter in the Wilds." He added in a side-note grumble as he gestured at the pamphlet he had crumpled up into a ball on the table.

The Ghost's optic flickers, shell rotating a little in thought. "That's what the Fallen here are calling themselves? We haven't been out that way. We've been... discouraged... from breaking the peace." He doesn't sound all that happy about it, though that's less about not getting to fight and more about them being here in the first place.

"Yes, I was in the Forest for a very very long time." Saint said finally, nodding. "It is a fascinating but extremely dangerous place. Time flows differently there." He left out the part about being dead for a while (according to the Guardian who rescued him at the time point he would have died).
The Titan looked to the Ghost and nodded before reaching over for the pamphlet he had crumpled. It had information on the Wilds and the dangers there. He wondered if it was the Guardians that were here that added the information about the Fallen and their 'Truce.'
"This is the only information I have so far. I aim to find out more." He said, holding the paper up after he smoothed out the crinkled paper. "I advise to avoid confrontation for now due to this 'ceasefire' they have." He tried not to let the quiet frustration leak out into his voice. He didn't believe for an instant that they weren't up to something. He needed more intel and also needed to assess how many Guardians were available among other things before even thinking of planning a counter-offensive.
"While in this place, it is up to us to protect the Civilians from their savagery. For now, this means to avoid confrontation." No, he didn't like that one bit.
no subject
She makes a face at the other Exo's advice, but doesn't disagree. Looks like they're on the same page, then. "There's not even a wall to keep them out. I don't know how the people here are comfortable with it."
no subject
Saint could tell that the other Titan wasn't pleased with the current situation with the Fallen in the Wilds. He was with her on that regard. There was nothing he wanted more than to remove them from this hub-universe. If not to protect the Civilians and non-combatants living here - but to protect the entire multi-verse.
"There may not be physical walls, but they have some of us Guardians here." He rapped his chest plate lightly with a fist. "Plus I heard that there are powerful beings and other fighters here besides us. I almost wish the Fallen makes a move - just so they can discover just how big of a mistake that is." He chuckled wryly with a shrug. Deep down though it did concern him. He didn't want any of the non-combatants getting caught in the cross-fire.
no subject
"Maybe. Though that might mean innocents get hurt." Which wouldn't exactly be unexpected, when it comes to the Fallen. But still unfortunate at the very least. "And supposedly this place has some kind of technology that makes it so you can't fight? I'm not really sure how that works, but imagine if we could take that back home. Suppressor grenades would be old news."
no subject
"Hm yes. That is my main worry." He agreed about the high chance that civilians would get caught in the crossfire. He wasn't as big a worry wart as Zavala but still. He deeply cared about people. "If a confrontation does eventually come..." In his mind it was only a matter of when.. "We will have to consider luring them away from the populated areas. This place is big enough - I'm sure there's a location that would cause the least harm to non-combatants." He also knew that there could be no Fallen left standing if push came to shove so that there would be no retaliation.
He waved a hand. "But there is no need to speculate at the moment when our hands are tied..." He uttered in distaste, dismissing his train of thought. "I aim to find out more information on this from the other Guardians here to get more of the full story." He tilted his head in thought. "As for this...'anti-violence field' I read about in the fliers - that will be interesting to test out. I am not sure how effective something like that is." He uttered an amused 'heh' at the mention of suppression grenades. "Old news indeed, my friend." He waved a hand at the pamphlets. "From what I read, the field is more effective in populated areas while it is less so in the Wilds."

"As thoroughly as you can map a landscape that changes without notice," her Ghost adds dryly, sounding quite unenthusiastic about the feasibility of such a thing.
Aegis nods again, but stops mid-motion as a thought occurs. Would it be rude? Should she ask? Screw it. It's not like Titans are well known for spending a great deal of time ruminating over their next move. "Maybe we should test it personally," she suggests, leaning forward, one elbow on the table. "Guardians can take more of a beating than civilians, so if something goes wrong, it wouldn't be as bad for us."
And there's also the fact that it will let her brag to her friends that she's sparred with Saint-14. That is definitely a plus.
no subject
He looked to the other Titan though at her suggestion, musing over it thoughtfully. "This is true. I suppose I would be needing a partner to help with this. I'll also find out from the others if they did some testing of their own." He nodded. "We can test this barrier out in different locations to see if there are any changes." He was already getting some ideas on the matter.
A stray thought made him rumble with another laugh. "Too bad Shaxx isn't here. He'd have fun with this I think." Plus he knew the Crucible handler well enough the man would probably set up another arena here.
no subject
"Bugaboo!" Aegis swats at him, like you might smack a friend for saying something inappropriate. "Don't say things like that. You'll jinx us or something."
"Right, of course. Silly me," the Ghost responds dryly.
All of that is overshadowed at the absolute hype of getting to duke it out with a famous Titan, something that has her optics blazing brightly, eager. "Oh, absolutely. Imagine a Crucible match where the terrain might change on the fly! I'd totally go a few rounds."
no subject
"Ha! You and me both, my friend." He chuckled. "I remember not long after the Crucible was formed when we all competed in there. Zavala...Ikora. Even Shaxx and I would do a few rounds. Ikora though..heh...she was incredible." She had made quite the name for herself in those days. The Crucible was a lot different now since his return. Saint had disappeared in the Infinite Forest in the years after the Battle of Twilight Gap.
no subject
She leans forward, eagerly drinking in the words and trying to imagine the Vanguard participating in the matches. "You fought Lord Shaxx? Who won?"
no subject
He kind of missed those days. When everything was new. Now-a-days, he didn't participate in Crucible matches but he was always happy to help train the rookies.
no subject
Bugaboo's shell spins a little, thoughtfully. "I wonder if there's any footage in the archives. We'll have to check."
no subject
"Things are so different now-a-days." He sighed a little. "Now it's most important to train the newer Guardians and help forge their Light." There was so many new faces now than he remembered. The Last City and the whole solar system needed as many active Guardians as possible these days. Though Saint new not to get too specific timeline-wise until he knew the timepoint that Aegis came from.
"So how long have you been visiting the Nexus?" He wouldn't mind any good intel that might not be in any of the pamphlets.
no subject
The Ghost's shell spins around his optic, setting up the data exchange with Saint-14's Ghost. "It used to belong to an ally of the Guardians. Those files are classified, so I don't know much more than that."
no subject
"It is not surprising. I shall look into it back at the Tower." He mused. "I have a Warlock that is assisting me with things there." He wondered then, if Katiri had heard of this place. "Ah...before I forget..." He held out his hand and his Ghost, Geppetto appeared above his palm. "Feel free to exchange comm codes so we can remain in contact. I also aim to get a PINpoint while I am here." Strange things. He had read they could be used like comm units and not just transmat devices. It might come in handy.
no subject
Aegis would grin if her faceplates allowed for such things. "Good idea. You never know who you might need to call for backup." Although she's not sure which would be more awesome, having Saint-14 as her backup, or being called to be his.
no subject
The Titan chuckled a bit. "Back up is always handy. If you need me, do not hesitate to reach out, my friend." He inclined his head a little. "Now that I am here and know there is more of us Guardian's present, I aim to get in contact with everyone. Perhaps we can all get together to discuss this...'truce' with Winter."
