Lockdown Brings out Old muses
[ooc: his current timeline is pre-"Final Problem", also rusty muse is rusty, apologies.]
There's a new person in the Nexus today. A very confused new person, who isn't sure exactly how he got here. Could be drugs. No, it can't be drugs. He has been more or less in lockdown during his detox, unable to access any drugs of any kind. John isn't even allowing him paracetamol right now. Which makes his detox headaches nearly too much to handle. Maybe that's what this place is...
Could be his mind palace, though it has never appeared like this before. He shakes his head to clear it of that idea.
He looks around, with complete confusion on his features. He reads the signs and takes in the population wandering around. None of it really takes away the confusion upon his features. He's not sure how to react to the information he's being flooded with...
His lips twitch as a song comes to mind. Lestrade had been the last person he remembered 'babysitting' him. He had brought a collection of music for them to listen to, so they could pass the time. So, one of those lyrics came to mind "Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?"

"Most heretics struggle with pride. That's the problem with them."
He knows a thing or two about pride.
"skekGra the Heretic. I am Sherlock Holmes."
no subject
That would probably be the Emperor. You don't become an Emperor and be humble, usually.
But the Heretic becomes excited again when the man introduces himself.
"Sherlock Holmes. It's wonderful to meet you!"
Can't believe I bought time for this doofus again
"....That's not... what people usually say."
no subject
"Well, there's a first time for everything."
no subject
He's an arse and he knows it. People don't say it's wonderful to meet him. Ever.
no subject
skekGra shrugs. He doesn't quite know what Sherlock means, but there are plenty of Nexus visitors and residents with questionable pasts.
no subject
At this point, he just wants to return home. He doesn't like this place. He doesn't know what to do with the fact that he is here. And mostly, he doesn't like not know what is and isn't real.
no subject
Most humans he's met are from some variety of Earth, though not all. The Heretic figures Holmes isn't an exception.

"I'm a consulting detective. The only one in the world." His eyes narrow and looks the creature up and down. "Maybe the universe. When the police are out of their depth, which is always, they consult me."
no subject
skekGra figures that Sherlock will run into stranger things than an old alien if he stays in the Nexus long enough. It's a strange place.
no subject
There's always a need for a detective where there's mystery.
no subject
Mystery? Yes, the Nexus has plenty of mysteries to spare.

John and Rosie. Besides, if Mary starts haunting him here, he's in serious trouble.
no subject
skekGra figures Sherlock would want to go home. "If you want to go back, you'll need to get a PINpoint and find the way you got in. Then you can come and go as you like, if you like."
no subject
This is worse than when John teased him about not knowing the sun goes around the Earth. He's not equipped to handle it.
"I hadn't taken any drugs intentionally for awhile... maybe someone laced something with one..."
Because that's the only logical explanation.
no subject
skekGra adjusted fairly quickly, but mostly because he has no problem with strange things.
He shakes his head when Sherlock blames the Nexus on drugs.
"Drugs? No, I've taken drugs here, and I promise this place has nothing to do with them."
no subject
Or maybe lack of drugs. Detoxing was never a pretty thing for him to go through.
no subject
"If you don't believe in your own senses, who or what would you believe?"
no subject
Well, there are a few others, but he would be the best.
no subject
If skekGra sees Watson, he thinks, he'll let him know his friend's looking for him.
no subject
God. Kind of generic when he thinks about it.
no subject
skekGra gives a quick, birdlike nod. "I'll be leaving you on your way, then. I hope you find your way back soon."
no subject
He watched stoically as the birdlike creature wandered off.
