Anemone's been here a few weeks now? Too long for her liking. All Eureka Seven spoilers possible.
There's a teenage girl, lounging lazily and very moodily in the middle of the plaza, very twitchy, and glaring at everyone who's passing by. She seems to have slight spasms sometimes.
"Have you ever considered," she asks, you, or nobody in particular, "just how unfair this place is?! Sure, Dewey isn't here, that's grand, sure, sure, but neither is Nirvash! Nirvash isn't here, and I can't - I can't--!"
Anemone twitches a bit more.
"And I don't even have my medicine! Shouldn't this place give me some, since it brought me here?"
She glares, and sighs.
"Don't just stare, tell me what you think! Isn't this place just unfair?! It's as bad as Sabraather!"

I know nothing of the canon, wouldn't know a spoiler if it hit me in the face. XD
"Everywhere is unfair." Moloch frowns down at her prone form. He's in all black, mostly leather. Black wings shifting at his back with annoyance and causing the metallic flight feathers to scrape against each other like the sound of a knife being sharpened. When he goes on speaking the click of his sharp, shark-like teeth is present. "You mistake me for whatever servants you had, but most people get here on their own. This place doesn't bring them here. Perhaps, you have problems with responsibility for your actions?"
:D
Anemone asks, drily, but with a hint of confusion. As it's not a word she's heard much of, lately or ever.
She sits up.

He finally looks down and laughs at her. "Unless you're content whining like a broken toy."
no subject
But! She has life experience in glaring people up. Though - she somehow has a feeling that won't work on the strange man.
"Shut up, I'm definitely not your toy! You don't even know the first thing about Nirvash - if Nirvash was here, I'd stomp on you with the foot."
no subject
Unafraid he gets into her personal space. "You know nothing of whom you speak to. The many who have tried to stomp upon me lay in graves or found my teeth in thier flesh. Idyl threats little toy."
no subject
"Just for one or two games? Are you so easily bored?"
"Nirvash's threat are never idle. Nirvash means what Nirvash says, you'll see. When it's here someday."
But the thing is, Nirvash is NOT here. Not in Nexus, and won't be, but Anemone doesn't know that yet. If she knew, THEN she might be afraid.
no subject
He looks down at the girl, disinterested in her threats. "I don't care who you bring. Your threats are as empty as before... because....you don't know who you are talking too."
no subject
Anemone turns her head away a bit, at least.
"I'm talking about giant robots. Ever seen some?"
no subject
no subject
And- actually, she can't prove this very moment - not until Nirvash gets here, whenever that might be. Stupid Nirvash, not being here right now, stupid, stupid, stupid!
And Dominic- not that Dominic would help, but, stupid!
Anemone takes a step back. She twitches a little.
"And what's that? I thought I was talking to an idiot."

OK, some mecha pilots need to know they're not free to do whatever in Nexus. :) Anemone should learn
One wake up call as ordered. XD

"Is this where we line up to complain about this place? I've got a few." He remarks dryly, a smirk on his face. His mood turns serious in an instant. "But if you have a pre-existing condition that needs medicine, you definitely need to get some help from the locals here. Have you tried asking?"
no subject
She turns away, angry at him now for not being Dominic. (Nobody said she has to be rational.)
"Shut up. I am asking."
Still not looking at him.
"Don't you feel asked?"
no subject
"Sure. Thanks for...'asking' me. But unfortunately, my answer is no. I don't have what you're looking for. You might get better help from someone who's been here longer. I've just gotten a map of the place and...I don't even know where to begin if I wanted to get treatment."
He wasn't exaggerating either. Roland's seen his fair share of large countries, expansive borders, and a second, whole new world even, but the Nexus was no joke. It was directionless, but full of life. Five seconds into his resources and he understood that it was pointless to try and figure out the logistics of this magical realm.
"What's your medicine called? Let's ask around."

She frowns when he asks for the name of medicine.
"How am I supposed to know?"
no subject
"You...don't know the name of your own medicine...?" That's hard to believe. She keeps twitching without it, by the looks of things.
no subject
Ehh...
She stands up slowly.
"Can you help me look around?"
no subject
He hums thoughtfully. This girl, as strange as she's been acting, didn't seem like she was just messing around with him. She's obviously had an experience, and it doesn't take Roland long to figure out that she's honest about not knowing what they put inside of her. He frowns. That doesn't sit well with him, not at all.
He unfolds his arms and nods. "I'd be happy to. And just so you're not walking around with some stranger, the name's Roland. Hope we find what you're looking for, Miss...?"
no subject
"Roland. Are you in the military? You seem that way. Hummm, maybe not."
She honestly doesn't care what they inject into her, as long as it works, and it does work, though for shorter and shorter time. And now, Nexus, there's - nothing like that. She can live without it, true, but - it hurts to take the medicine, but it also hurts not to take it, and she can't stand it, sometimes.
"Roland, I can tell you more about Nexus, I guess."
What benevolence, right?
"You seem rather new? Or maybe you've been living under a rock."
/headcanon coming your way
As they make their way around the Nexus, Roland allows his new companion to take the lead. He watches her closely, making sure she stays steady while they search for what she needs.
"Heh, I guess you could say that. I did serve some time in the ranks. But that was a long time ago. I'm - I used to be - Chief Consul to King Evan of Evermore, before all this." He has a thought he voices out immediately: "Ever heard of that kingdom?"
It would be a good chance to gather information from those who come from other worlds. He had only a base understanding of interdimensional travel, but finding out if someone knew of his new home world was the best start he could hope for.
"Any help would be appreciated. Any leads you could give me on how to get home, maybe? You're not wrong - I'm the new kid on the block. It's only been a couple of days since my warm welcome."
Yay! not that I know anything about the game canon, anyway, but still. I love headcanons.

The Mariner doesn't really like the stranger's attitude, but if she's sick that's more important. She's put up with obnoxious people before, but she doesn't want this stranger hurt. She could stand to learn a lesson in self-reliance, though. skekSa has her Sifa crew with her, but doesn't rely on them for everything. She likes handling things herself when possible.
"But you won't have everything handed to you here. You'll find people and things who can help you, but there are still things you have to do yourself. You'll find no servants here."
no subject
"I know I don't have servants, you- hey, what are you?"
Anemone sits up, just still twitching slightly, but it'll pass.
"Tell me what you are, that might actually be enough to stop thinking about other stuff, for now."
no subject
The Mariner stands straight, her larger pair of arms folded. She's wearing her usual feathered hat and scarlet longcoat.
"And you're a human, I assume, lass. Correct me if I'm wrong."
no subject
She's seen some weird people arleady in this place, but a skek or whatever might take the cake, so far.
Actually, it reminds her of how there were all manners of strange people in the previous not-home, Sabraather. Nexus is like that, huh?
Possibly.
She's still feeling unwell, but at least now there's some diversion.
no subject
Though humans are alien by Thra standards, since they're a native Earth species not from skekSa's home system. Either of them.
Though she's more attached to Thra as a home than the urSkek homeworld.
no subject
"Yeah, aliens, like half of Nexus, from what I've seen, you're not so special. 've you ever seen any humans before Nexus?"
