Return of the Blind Ninja
Ordering clothes and equipment from the internet is all well and good, but after Matt's entanglement with the FBI several years ago, the idea of completely untraceable gear has been a tempting prospect. Today, he's browsing the shopping district, rubbing fabrics between his fingers to test its properties, in search of something that might deflect bullets or knives.
It's the Nexus, you never know.
Unfortunately, despite his enhanced senses, there is at least one important factor in purchasing clothes that he cannot overcome on his own. Footsteps mark the approach of someone else, and though Matt keeps his white cane tucked close to his feet to be out of the walkway, it's visible enough to be obvious if you know what you're looking at.
"Excuse me, what color is this?"
[ooc: usual disclaimer - Matt is blind but his other senses are enhanced to superhuman extremes. Feel free to add nonvisual sensory details in your tags that might help him get a better idea of who your character is or what they've been doing recently.]

The assumption of a tailor costing extravagant amounts of money is common enough that Matt making it now doesn't phase Alex in the least. He's still his high-strung version of calm and sass as he waits with his arm still outstretched, completely sure of himself and the fact that Matt will be coming with him to be properly attired. There's no hint of lies in his voice or heartbeat; A good tailor is confident to a fault and this one is certain he's at the top of that particular list.
"Come on. I promise to put you in fabrics that will both feel good and not hurt my feelings to think about. The process will be painless so long as you don't move about while I take your measurements. Even then you'd have to try really hard to manage that. My tape isn't sharp in the least."

After a moment's hesitation, he reaches out to grasp the other loosely at the elbow, shifting his cane in his other hand. "All right, I suppose. You have a shop here in the Nexus?"

"I do, but I understand how you might've missed it. My sign doesn't yell at you as you pass by to let you know what's inside." It might be worth looking into eventually, but Alex's attention is clearly on Matt right now. "Might I ask what sorts of things you need clothing for? I've every fabric available and then some, but unless I know how to use it, the variety isn't going to help." Tell him your needs, Matt, so the sassy man at your side can better help you!

Someone this fussy about fashion doesn't seem like he's gungho to make combat clothes, at least not as an introductory experience. Fortunately, he has entirely separate legitimate reasons for shopping for clothes. "I'm a defense attorney, so court clothes are always a must. It's also coming up on winter, and it gets fairly cold in New York."
