Mostly Treat, but given costume/magic am open to a bit of Trick too

It's taken lots of cajoling, reassurance, and appeal to what was once Joshua's very favorite day of the year for him to be out at a crowded party but here he is all the same. Looking more human than he has in a year, thanks to the makeup and hint of magic Loki offered to help hide the half-wendigo's fangs and claws. It won't do anything for his gaunt frame but Joshua had insisted he didn't want a full on illusion. Wasn't comfortable with anyone thinking he was human to their own detriment. He could have scared plenty of folks as is for a Halloween party, but he's not so big on scaring folks as he used to be.

It helps that Loki isn't human either, and that Cricket had worked so hard on the costume idea. Mobsters, gangsters--from two different eras. The suit they've helped Josh into won't fit him well as he lingers around the edge of the party keeping close to his friend.

At least, not at first. It's not until everything seems to have been shaken up that Joshua strides cooly from the edge of the room to stand just off to the side of Cricket. Never moving in front of the other nor being in the way. The toy handgun he'd had stowed in a holster doesn't seem quite so whimsical anymore and it's on prominent display. But when the boss insists on being out and about his muscle isn't ever going to be far from his side....

"Who's a man gotta blow around here to get a smoke?" Not even a hint of a lisp. If he's quiet, it's entirely because he doesn't want people to take note of His opinions over Cricket's own.
