Robin originally approaches due to the pure, terror-inducing sight of the creature--he's finding frightening things unusually soothing, tonight. Once he floats close enough, however, he immediately knows her by scent. That, for some reason, reminds him that he can talk.

The first time he tries, he just barks. He tries again. "Captain! That's a terrifying ensemble." At least his voice is recognizable. He flies around her in a swift spiral and pauses to hover at eye level.
