notamaniacFreddy has opened a new shop in the Nexus, one similar to his shop at home. He likes running his own store and making stuff with his own hands. He's left the shop at home in the hands of his mother, Amanda. He figures he can make enough furniture for both places. At least in the Nexus, he doesn't have to worry about shipping!
Right now, Freddy is sitting on a rocking chair on the stoop of his new store. He's rocking slowly and carving at a piece of wood. He's making a puzzle box, the kind you hide something in as a prize, before giving it as a gift. The finished box will not be square, but shaped like a fat cat. As people pass by, he says hello, quite willing to stop and chat for a moment. A friendly shopkeeper is a successful shopkeeper!
"It's amazing the forms wood can take. Any suggestions? All these aliens and people from other worlds must have ideas not heard of on Earth in the twentieth century. It'd be nice to learn some new stuff."
