It's only appropriate that Jonathan Crane wanders into the Nexus on Halloween. He'd been around for a while, keeping a low profile and keeping his head down. There are people here he doesn't want to antagonize, and he remains careful even when he reveals himself. Not that he's afraid, of course. He's well aware of this place's...oddities, and how they could work to his benefit. He's leaning against a wall in the Plaza, arms folded, and wearing a knowing smirk. Halloween is his favorite time of year, after all, even "off duty", so to speak.
He's not causing any problems at the time being, instead observing the varied costumes worn by Nexus dwellers. His own ragged garb fits in quite nicely, and he's not used to being able to blend in with a crowd. This was a grand Halloween.
Crane's not in costume, not his full Scarecrow costume, anyway. He has no need for the hat or mask here, since he feels no need to hide who he is. He doubts most of the people here even know who he is, which suits him just fine. He hopes most of the Nexus's people will mistake him for just another visitor in costume. Even if he can't harm anyone here, he'll find something to occupy his time. At the very least it's a diversion.
He asks a question when he spots someone in the crowd, seemingly polite but smiling slyly. "Seeing as it's Halloween...tell me, what are you afraid of?"
