This Nexus place... it's not half bad. It's fairly safe, relatively speaking, what with the anti-violence field. There's no shortage of distractions and things to entertain. Things he'd never even heard of! It gave him ideas for some business ventures back in the Red March when/if he ever decided to meander home. There were also plenty of gorgeous people to look at as well. Never a bad thing.
There were also those... spiders.
Sweet Jesu the spiders.
Jalan shudders and turns his attention back to the magazine he'd been flipping through. A book of pictures about men's fashion from some world or another. GQ or something like it was called. Fascinating how different style and fashion could vary. He was always eager to stay ahead of trends in his own world. Even set a few of them himself. So learning about other worlds? Why the possibilities were intriguing. Especially after having his own attire described to him as 'medieval'. He's still not quite sure how he feels about that.
He takes a sip of coffee, obtained from the cafe a little ways off. The outdoor seating was lovely and did provide a view of the many people from many worlds walking about. Certainly there weren't many more times to gather information then this.
"What's on trend in your world?" he asks closing his magazine and putting on a pleasant smile, "Style-wise that is. I find the fashions of people from different regions an interesting topic."
