Between a Crutch and a High Place

Minoru was back from the American Ninja Warrior Finals. While he had yet to achieve Total Victory, he still secured a jaw-dropping fourth place finish. But unfortunately, he came back from Las Vegas with an unwanted souvenir…

Which is why there was a pair of crutches hanging off a branch on one of the many trees in the Plaza. Minoru was lounging on an adjacent larger branch, his right ankle clearly wrapped in a compression bandage.

He’d been listening to something on his PINpoint, with earbuds in, but as the plaza grew more crowded, he popped them out to pose a question for his friends and neighbors.

“Okay, story time. What’s the craziest injury you’ve ever had?”
