It is not so much slavery that is in that quote but being brainwashed to believe that you must follow another blindly because it is what you have always done or what is expected of you." Lucifer considers the comments about her society. "I believe there is a difference between serving someone and being in the service of someone. Serving, to me, invokes passiveness and doing what you are told. To be in the service is an agreement to to work with someone and follow their lead. In service is a choice."
