It's a Beautiful Day in the Nexus, and You are a Horrible Coyote: Part 1
Perhaps you're browsing the open market, easing through a crowd of strangers of all shapes and sizes and colors, looking for a shiny new trinket or vital supplies to bring home. Perhaps you're taking a stroll through the park near the Plaza, following the walking path around the pond, enjoying the quiet sounds of nature or carrying a pocketful of bread crumbs for the turtleducks. Perhaps you're just after a cup of coffee and you don't plan to stay, or you're looking for work to keep busy, avoiding some task you really don't want to do. Whatever the case, everyone in the Nexus is here for a reason. For a purpose. Everyone is looking for something, whether it's a physical object, a friend, or maybe simple peace of mind.
Wherever you are, you're not alone.
You won't have seen him before he speaks, nor heard his approach. But there he is, as if he has come from nowhere. Perhaps he has. Coyote's suit is immaculately pressed, a pleasant smile pulling his lips back from his teeth. Wherever you are, so is he, looking to you in greeting.
"Hello, friend!" he says, ears perked forward attentively, his furred hands clasped in front of himself. "A question, if I may. What's the one thing you desire most right at this exact moment?"
[OOC: Please READ BEFORE REPLYING! This is part one of a mod-sanctioned event in which your character will have a wish temporarily granted. However, rather than granting the spirit of the wish as intended, Coyote will twist the wording into something your character finds genuinely distressing a la The Monkey's Paw. Please message me to arrange consequences for your character and (if needed) to set boundaries! While your character will not have fun, participating players absolutely should. For those who want to participate but don't want their character in distress, stay tuned for part two. You're also welcome to tag into threads after Coyote has worked his magic and left, though please ask the target player first.]

Deet's emotions feel more like her panic is fear of hurting something else than that she is in imminent danger, herself, but she is most definitely upset. And guilty. And extremely embarrassed. She's stretched out on the beach when Death comes close, on her belly with her arms folded under her head, moping. Much calmer, but still distinctly unhappy.
She knew he would find her, though. He always does, when she's in trouble. Only thing is, for once she's almost too embarrassed to face him.
Almost. She's not about to chase him away, either. "Hello, Thnisko," she sort-of whispers, and her voice seems to come from a little higher up than normal, too. "Um. I did something really stupid. You might want to stop there, I think the horse is a little scared of me."

Finally, his voice comes across their mental link as he slowly dismounts. "what happened?"
Death knows now that she is giant but why, that is a mystery still. One that he tries not to get angry over.

Sigh. "And I said I wished I was a little bit closer to your size so you wouldn't have to be afraid of hurting me when we're close. I...forgot you have an angel form that I haven't really seen, but I guess his magic knew somehow."
"I feel stupid. I'm sorry. I'm not hurt, just...huge."

"I can stay with you." He comes over and touches her hand which is now gigantic. He is even smaller compared to her than she ever is to him. "I can't show you my angel form but I can be your size if you want."
In the back of his mind he's worried that she might be stuck this size, not that this is particularly hidden from Deet given the openness of their connection. Maybe Belial could fix this?

"Yes, please," she says meekly. "I think I need a hug."
She swallows back tears, then, and clears he throat. "SkekSa is going to help take care of my animals, so they'll be all right. And I think the Arathim will water my moss garden. They seem to like me."
"Sa thought maybe it will wear off, but...I don't know. That sounds too easy, doesn't it?"
no subject
"Come here." Sitting on the beach he opens arms and wings to her. "We will find a way."
