saffron wind
Not everyone walks calmly into the streets of the Nexus. Not everyone is so distracted as to not see when the stones shift and the shops and buildings aren’t quite the same. She’s staring down into a sketchbook in her hands and muttering to herself for a fair distance before it even occurs to her to look up. Light brown eyes peer out from a mess of dark curls pinned up around her shoulders. She purses her lips in some amount of confusion and looks to her left, her right, and finally turns about in a small circle.
This stocky stranger traces her gaze over the various buildings as she slowly closes the sketchbook and returns it to a satchel strung across her shoulder by a long strap. After a moment of taking in her surroundings, she nods quietly and sighs. She shifts two things strapped across her back and shoulders: a satchel bag and a large pole with one end wrapped up in cloth. In less than a minute, she has the bag slung around her shoulders and over her back in the style of a backpack. The pole finds it’s way into her hands, the covered end pointing upward as she turns in a slow circle.
“This is…different.” Her voice is soft and deep, but quickly taking on a worried tone. The pole rests in the crook of one arm as she gathers up her skirt to tie off around her waist. Her leather sandals gently hug her all the way up to her knees. “All right, I’ll bite. Who did I offend this time?”

"You are young." The smile and half laugh that comes from the angel has the hawk on his shoulder looking to his master with a questioning expression. "My Father wanted to be the only one with children in our family. He has punished our eldest for eons for defying that edict."

"Almost all my family calls me young, too. Especially my grandfather and one of my great-uncles. The uncle is far nicer about it, though. Very prim to the wildness of grandfather." She looks up at last at Belial, feeling she has earned the right to properly do so. "Your Father would love my great-grandfather. He did so much to try and destroy the very family he kept creating, and all over a prophecy that came to pass anyway."

"Only 10 things exist that are older than I am." Belial mentions because most everything was young to the eldest of his kind. "I wouldn't curse anyone to endure a Father like mine but I know many have existed that emulate His ways."

"Perhaps you know of my family's Father? His name is Kronos. It's been a massive group effort to keep him where he isn't able to harm much of anyone, and it doesn't always work. Even my proper father does what he can to keep me far away from him."
no subject
"I know of Kronos. Eos was mother to my brother in Greece." Belial is naturally curious about parallel creations where things may be the same but inevitably different over time. "Who is your father?"
no subject
"Hephaestus! We may not be completely kin by blood, but it is a pleasure all the same to meet you." She braces herself on her spear and bows. "Lysandra Kastaros. I'm a demigoddess."

He knows some of mortal history, especially in the middle eastern areas where he, and several of the others, lived for a time.

"You carry the name of a woman of influence." He knows much of human history and as much of the myth after living in the area for centuries.

"I am the defender of man. My hands are naturally inclined to create the means for others to keep themselves and others alive. Such has been my influence."

It was worth letting this woman know she might randomly encounter Lucifer, but as of yet, Belial saw no reason they wouldn't get along well. "You share that with our kind then, the defense of Man, and nature as well for our kind." She even gets a rare, if small, smile from the stoic angel.

Angels and more angels... She knows by that alone to mind every last one of her manners. In spite of the bit of worry, she smiles back at Belial It's something special, surely, to make such a stoic man grin. "If I end up staying here a while, I'll be sure to make things to help others here. A smithy can make more than weapons."

Then she mentions forging and Belial can only think of one thing. "I know that well from my younger brother. He is war and forges often though many are surprised that he makes things of beauty as often as weapons of war."
