Molly had liked being a cat, for the most part. It had been interesting to see things from that perspective, and he'd rather enjoyed that people were quite willing to lavish attention and ear-pets!
But what he hadn't been especially thrilled with? Was how difficult it was to communicate, aside from a scarce few. And the lack of opposable thumbs had meant there was plenty he couldn't do without help.
So back to normal he was happy to go back to drawing cards- while it wasn't unusual to find the tiefling taking over a corner of a bar or a cafe, or something of the sort, he'd decided to go right back to his roots this time, coat spread out like a tapestry, one he plunked down on, tail flicking back and forth behind him as he was easily shuffling his well-worn deck between slim fingers, red gaze flicking over those who passed.
If someone was familiar, or just looked like they'd be fun to talk to? He'd be piping up. "Come friend, have a seat! Keep a troublemaker company! Or maybe you'd like said troublemaker to draw a card or two for you?"

Ben considers himself quite relieved to have avoided Coyote's brand of mayhem. He stayed out of the whole fiasco, first by luck and then on purpose - dealing with a trickster doesn't play to his strengths, and he's just mature enough to know that weakness. It would be all too easy to goad him into blowing any plan or doing something stupid. Better leave fixing it to people with a better temperament for the job.
But Molly's kind of trouble is more tolerable. "Fine, I'll bite." He's never dealt with tarot cards, so he's interested. Ben fetches himself a seat and joins Molly. "What kind of cards are these? I'm assuming they're special. Fortune-telling, maybe. I wouldn't mind trying my luck a little."
no subject
"Fortune telling indeed! I mean, you can also use them to play drinking games, but let's be real you never need too much to manage that!" As he spoke he was shuffling still, slipping a few tricks into the process to show off, like fanning the cards while shuffling or flipping a couple.
no subject
"All right." He shuffles closer to get a better look at what Molly will do. "So, how does this work, exactly? I know certain cards mean certain things when they're drawn, and they have symbols..."

"A card? You are blue. I am new here so you will have to forgive me."
Erik wasn't sure if he should take a seat or not but he was slowly opening up his mind to this new place and the strange and wonderful variety of residents that inhabited it. Why not? Surely, he would not put a curse on anyone! Sitting on the seat slowly the guitarist unhooked his guitar off his shoulders and laid it down gently by his chair.
"You are a card reader? A Mystisk en?"
The young man's Swedish accent quite thick but his English was well enough for people to hear.
no subject
"I am indeed! Pull up a chair, and if you like, we can see what they have to say for you, hm?"
no subject
"You are going to tell my fortune? This should be fun. Alright, let's have a go."
The young guitarist nodded and was keen to know what sort of fortune the creature would read out to him.

Mick was dressed in a white t-shirt and blue jeans as per usual when he wasn't on stage or going somewhere fancy. He offered the blue creature a wave and took a seat opposite the Tiefling. No guitar this time since it was safely back at the Townhouse under his bed when he wasn't playing it.
"Fancy a smoke?"
The blond pulled out a pack of smokes offering Molly one since it was his go to when meeting up with friends. That and buying a drink.
no subject
"I'd love one, you're a gem." Not that he did smoke other than with others- his vices were usually social if anything, but that wouldn't stop him from accepting the offer, lighting the cigarette on the candle flickering on one side of the table, mostly for show. Giving Mick a wink before puffing out a smoke ring or two, while he went back to the cards.
"Want to see what they've got for you today? Or we can come up with a game, I'm down for either!"
no subject
Mick lit up his own smoke and blew out a thin trail above his head. Being around Molly the guitarist was a little more confident than before since it was the whole blue skin and horns thing that spooked him a little. Placing his smokes back into his pocket Mick then offered Molly a smile.
"Ok, let's have a go. Hopefully, something good, eh?"
The blond was always up for his fortune since Molly was a friend.

As gracefully as he can, the angel takes a seat on the ground next to Molly, plunking down on a cushion that surely wasn't there before and crossing his legs tailor style. "I was thinking about you, you know, with all that funny business with Coyote. And I saw your friend Caleb recently as well."
no subject
Especially since he's joining him! Molly notices that trick with the cusion- clearly Angel mojo is convenient!
"That whole mess was something, wasn't it?" He mused, tilting his head thoughtfully. "Honestly if so many people didn't wind up distressed over it, it'd be impressive, the scale of mischief he'd managed."
But that was Molly's way. He enjoyed chaos and trickery but not if others weren't laughing too. And pay no mind to the flush that rises in purple cheeks at the mention of the wizard!
"Caleb? He mentioned he's made friends with you. I figure you'll either get on like a house on fire, given you're both so very interested in your books."
no subject
"Well, he is a powerful trickster spirit, and the Nexus does lend itself easily to chaos. Crowley was rather cross with me that I stuck around to heal the injured, but thankfully I was not harmed in the process."
The blush is impossible to miss, but aside from a private little smile, he doesn't comment. His love of romantic stories does make him terribly curious about Molly's feelings for Caleb, however, especially as the young wizard was surprisingly forthcoming about his feelings for Molly, the last time they spoke.
"He did? Oh, that's nice. Yes, we spent a great deal of time discussing the magic on your world, and he showed me some of the things he had written down. A very bright young man, he is, and very loyal to those he cares about, too." Hint, hint.

"I still have no interest in your cards my friend but I will sit a while," he says pulling over a chair.
no subject
"As if I'd ever turn away your wonderful companionship," Molly replied, tail flicking as his expression warmed. "And if you're still not into a reading, we could always play a game instead?"

Caleb waves for a drink as he turns to Molly. "What sort of game," he asks watching the tiefling, "I am not as good at cards as you and Jester."
Caleb knows now he gives too much away in his face while playing. so he's wary about getting fleeced though he doesn't expect Molly to do that.
His drink arrives and he sips it. "And shall we bet or no?"

“Oh, hey! What’s that game?” He asked, not realizing what the deck of cards was actually for, at first. Once he learned, though, he’d be just as eager to have his fortune read as he would be to play.
no subject
"Though in all seriousness, tarot! I've been having quite the time doing readings today."
no subject
He’d had it done a few times, years ago. But back then, his life didn’t exactly have much direction. It wasn’t like now, where he had a relationship with Ziggy, a name for himself on American Ninja Warrior and nine months of progress toward an associates degree in PTA school.

"Playing cards or fortunes? Either way, I might be inclined to turn them on you as well."

From somewhere behind him there was a faint 'mrp' and the sleepy face of a cat peering from behind Molly's arm.
"And I wouldn't be adverse to you turning the deck on me."
no subject
She leans her head over at the emergence of the cat and smiles widely.
"You're a good person. Cats are picky in the way dogs are not. There must be something that little adores about you. Tit for tat, I'll see what your cards tell me about you."

It's the red eyes that catch his attention being from a race with unnaturally colored eyes. His own species is that way and here in the Nexus he can go without his contacts, which leaves his turquoise, whiteless, snake pupiled eyes visible.
At the comment from the stranger Ziggy comes over to sit across from the person with a smile. "I'm no card reader but you can keep this troublemaker company."
He has a playful gin that exposes his small fangs as he sips the coffee he's toted over from the counter. He's never gone to a reader but it should be interesting as a person with future sight to see what a reader sees in the future.

"I'm always happy to entertain fellow trouble!" Molly replied with a grin, tailtip flicking not unlike a cat interested with some new person. "Mollymauk Tealeaf, or Molly if we're friends which honestly I'm sure we will be."
