There's a new addition to the nexus; a young woman in her early twenties with a small duffel bag slung over one shoulder, wearing a completely bewildered expression as well as pointe shoes, tights, and an oversized jumper over a black leotard.

She was expecting to leave her class and end up in the main theatre for rehearsal; instead, she's God knows where. After walking a little, she stops and looks around again, trying casually not to panic in a way that only the British are able; usually this involves a couple of deep breaths and muttering to yourself, but is subject to change.

"This is fine. Totally fine. I'm just completely lost in a place I've worked for years. Totally normal."

and then, at normal speaking volume;

"If there's anyone here, I'd really appreciate a hand. Anyone?"

"If you would, that'd be great." Something else comes to her then as they start to walk.

"..What sort of money do you use here?"

If she's going to be staying here a while, money will definitely become an issue very quickly.

"There's a currency exchange in town," she explains. "I've bartered before, though. That's what I'm used to."

She shrugs. It's either that or gold or silver coins, and Iphigenia's never had the need to carry any. And to be honest, she's never had the need to barter until she came to the Nexus. Call it one of the quirks of being royalty.

"Were you in school for dancing, back home?"

She knows that in some worlds, people her age--and she's guessing Grace and her are fairly close in that area--get to further their education.

"That's something at least.."

Now she just needs a job and she'll be set. A job that doesn't require any experience at all. Those exist nowadays, right?

"I was, yes. There are two academies for dancing, and then once you've gone through both, you can audition for the ballet company. So I've been doing it for a while now"

"Oh, that sounds so exciting!" she replies, grinning. "You must have to work very hard."

She wouldn't know what that's like, frankly. But Iphigenia can still marvel at industriousness, right?

"It is a lot of work, but it's what I've always wanted to do, so I'd say it's worth it."

Bit of an understatement, but it gets the point across.

"How about you - what do you do?"

[bornstrong]

"I--I sing here, mostly, at night," she says, a little surprised by the question.

And then, of course, Iphigenia adds:

"I was not used to doing things--employment or schoolwork--back home."

She sounds a tad embarrassed.
