Many others of his ilk like to cause a scene or enter with a bang - Stolas, however, is not one for dramatics. He's also one for studying a situation before stepping into it.
He doesn't immediately ask any questions - instead, he watches the Nexus-goers like someone would people watch. Perhaps a little more intently than some would like, leaving them feeling like an owl is watching them from somewhere. The custom of asking a question makes itself shown quickly, and people like it when customs or traditions are followed. He might as well.
Stolas' voice is on the deeper end of the scale, but clear and calm, sounding like a college professor. "What constellations have you always been able to find, when the sky allows it? Why do you think it's easy for you to find this particular one?"

"I do," she replies. "It's always nice to meet someone new, and the people here are usually friendly."

"I'm only doing my part," Iphigenia replies, bashful. "I would hope everyone is as welcoming."

She also likes it because it's quiet and peaceful inside.

And possibly resist building a nest and staying there forever, because that would happen entirely too easily.

"Or--perhaps you'd like to find a place to stay first, if you want lodgings here for when you travel back and forth." Maybe that would be better.

He blinks, tilts his head. "Is that a possibility? What currency is used here?" He'll be able to pay no matter what it is, but this is something people ask. "Hm. That might be interesting." On the whole, Stolas doesn't 'stay' places outside of Hell, but a new place to nest now and then wouldn't be bad.

She grins.
"Come, let me show you the library."

He extends an arm so she can loop hers through it, if she wants to. If she doesn't, Stolas doesn't press - he simply allows it to drop to his side again. "What do you find yourself reading, when you are there?"
no subject
"I enjoy reading about history," she replies, beginning to walk. "And other cultures. I am learning a lot by just reading. It's remarkable."
She smiles at him.
"What would you read?"
no subject
"Wonderful!" He makes sure his own strides aren't too long, more or less just trying to keep pace with her. "It is. What cultures do you find yourself reading about the most?"
Stolas smiles warmly back.
"I will read anything and everything, really. But I enjoy fiction. Seeing stories that other people weave and trying to decipher where an idea they had came from - whether or not from their own life, or another story that they've read. Intertextuality is what that's called." The rambling has begun and Iphigenia probably could make a break for it, if she wanted. "Finding common threads - a character referencing a book that you've read, or quoting a poem that's a little less widely known. I don't mean to sound like I believe more obscure things are better," he elaborates, "It's just that it's always a welcome surprise to know that someone has read and remembered and enjoyed the same things as you."
... And Stolas wonders why some of the other fallen angels say he's a chatterbox.

"Oh, I like learning about faraway cultures, and cultures from beyond my time, and ones that are successful, and those that aren't, and--" She stops herself, because now she's rambling.
"I just like it all, really. And you sound very educated." Iphigenia respects that, at least. It's a good sign, in her view.

He considers something briefly, then voices it. "This Nexus - you enjoy it here? It seems like a nice enough place." It's a roundabout way of asking if she's being treated well here. If this is the Iphigenia that he thinks she is, it would be good for the girl to have some luck for once.
no subject
Iphigenia really is glad that she lives here now. For one thing, she's alive, and it's indeed true, what she says about the people. She's made friends here.
"I hope you'll like it here too."
no subject
"I think I will!" He says, grinning again. "After all, there's much to learn here, and there's a library as well, and I have already met lovely people."
no subject
They're close to the library now, and she points to it, just ahead of them.
"See? We're here. Now you can browse to your heart's content."

She's glad to have met him--he seems like an interesting sort of fellow.
